Bad News+ Finals=Food Fest

Well tonight I found out my husband is moving to Chicago for 14 months starting Monday. That is a serious negative in my life right now. I am also in the middle of finals--this makes the news even worse. I ate 3 pieces of pizza then threw the rest in the dumpster so that I could not eat anymore--that was a waste of money but a healthier choice than downing a whole large cheese pizza!

In response to this news in addition to the finals, I'm working on getting prepared for South Korea. I got some great stuff-- pants, skirt, cardigans etc. Good deals on everything! I spent a little more on the tops than I wanted to but I thought they evened out with the low low price of the bottoms. I LOVE TJMaxx and Marshalls! Thank you for great deals on pants and name brands at bargain basement prices!

I am really hoping that I can get positive about the move to Chicago--it will be great for his career and is a huge change from what he has been doing for the past 14 months. His hours will be normal school hours 7-3 so he will be able to finish his M.S. while I am away in Korea. I just hope that I can figure out a good plan for life when I get back in December.

 There are many options:
1. stay in STL and finish my second MA in the Spring and Fall semesters of 2011.
2. Just get my teaching certification and move to Chicago to be with husband
3. Just get teaching certificate and get a job here or Arkansas -- where ever we decide we want to live for the long term
4. I'm sure there are others but I'm sort of exhausted so I'm not thinking clearly right now

Hope I can get my happy hat on soon! (and my healthy one)

Stress in St. Louis

This week has been a super tough week for eating healthy. I've been struggling a lot these past few weeks with finals, prepping for South Korea, and getting ready for my friend's baby shower. I've also been fighting against allergies that turned on Saturday. Like magic my nose was plugged up and runny. Sorry for complaining but the brutal truth is that I've been eating badly--cookies, chips etc.
I hope that I can get my act together in the next few days and weeks before I leave for South Korea. At this point my real goal is to just not gain any weight before I leave and hopefully lose some while I'm there.
